Digital Magazines: Bonnier Mag+ Prototype


This conceptual video is a corporate collaborative research project initiated by Bonnier R&D into the experience of reading magazines on handheld digital devices. It illustrates one possible vision for digital magazines in the near future, presented by their design partners at BERG.


The concept aims to capture the essence of magazine reading, which people have been enjoying for decades: an engaging and unique reading experience in which high-quality writing and stunning imagery build up immersive stories.

The concept uses the power of digital media to create a rich and meaningful experience, while maintaining the relaxed and curated features of printed magazines. It has been designed for a world in which interactivity, abundant information and unlimited options could be perceived as intrusive and overwhelming.

The purpose of publishing this concept video is first and foremost to spark a discussion around the digital reading experience in general, and digital reading platforms in particular. Bonnier is inviting all interested in the topic to hear what you have to say regarding the concept and ideas expressed in the video: the magazine reading experience, digital browsing, text versus images, as well as hear about your own digital reading experiences and thoughts. I'd personally be very pleased to see the magazine ESCAPES i'm doing in this format.

hola! how are you today? haven't been updating my blog for a while, not that i wasn't writing in the meanwhile, just that i was writing all over and around. busy days i guess. but that's good. lots of energy, creativity and inspirations all over.

in all that buzz, where do you get your daily fashion fix? i mean, i love all the glossy magazines, my house is full of them. i can't throw them away - you never know when you might need something from 1993 or so. and i love to see the pics and editorials over and over again. it's always like a new experience. always seeing them with different experience, views, feelings.

this week New York Fashion Week is in it's full buzz. and Giorgio Armani is opening his big store on 5th avenue. while in NY he is also a guest blogger at The Moment. check it out, it's amuzing.

ESCAPES magazine, 2nd issue is out!

Being considered as my 'baby' and one of my favorite projects (and there are more of my favorite ones) i'm working on at Grupo Riveras, i'd like to share with you the new issue of ESCAPES magazine, which came out today.

ESCAPES is a magazine which wants to share with its readers the best escapes, places, towns, beaches, cuisine in Baja California Sur, the culture, tradition, fiestas, social responsibility projects and all those things that make Baja so special. These are also the things that make me like this piece of the world so much.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

ESCAPES

We all need to escape from time to time. Be it an escape for vacations, summer retreat to your second home, for a weekend, a day, or even just for a moment, escaping into another dimension, another imaginary world, escape into dreams which give us enthusiasm and joy for life.

In Baja California Sur we have many places we love to escape to - and that's what this magazine is all about. ESCAPES is a magazine - or better your getaway guide to Baja - which I am doing with my company Grupo Riveras.
